Walking Away

Do you find it hard to walk away from a problem or challenge?

You continue to think it will work out somehow, someway.

You’re not a quitter and you don’t want to let yourself or anyone else down.

Hoping something will be different the next time, as maybe another variable came into the picture which provides a new possibility.

A new manager, a new technology, a different location, another communication medium.

But still the results continue to be the same and no substantial progress is being made.

Spending (wasting) more time, when we should change our focus on something else.

Unfortunately, I think we’re often stubborn, hardheaded, and probably a little egotistical to know when to call it quits.

I like the below quote, although the million dollar question is, how many tries does one attempt before quitting?

“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a fool about it.” – W.C. Fields (American Actor and Comedian)
