Have you found any advantages when you work with an external recruiter versus the company’s internal recruiter (HR)?

Is the layer in between helpful in negotiations or actually can cause more of a bottleneck in the process?

Do you have a preference?

Have you found more success one way or the other?

Or maybe, and unfortunately, you’ve had your time wasted equally on both sides.
