Hopefully, we haven’t taken this out of context…

It’s still a J.O.B, the role still has demands, timelines, possibly daily standups, users/management/customers blowing you  up when something isn’t working, weekend/overnight deployments, etc.

Sure, there might be SOME flexibility to take an hour or two to go to a doctors appointment, run an errand, go to your kids school event, maybe work from another location if you’re remote.

And there’s a good chance that whatever you missed while you were away, is waiting to be addressed when you’re back.

Please be careful if any false impressions are set when you hear about the flexibility in this career choice.
