We usually hear show interest, personality and enthusiasm during an interview.
But can having too much enthusiasm be a negative?
Particularly if one considers it “put-on”, although it might just be your personality.
I read one study where it can exhaust the interviewer(s), when a candidate was determined to be over the top and felt it was too much for the organization to work with.
Maybe when the candidate spends more time talking and interrupting and not enough time listening.
Do you feel it’s tough to find that right amount of balance and maybe even get worried that you’ll be too far on one side of the line or the other?
