Disappointment on both sides…

As many reiterate the message:

“Salesforce and its ecosystem of partners will create 9.3 million new jobs and $1.6 trillion in new business revenues worldwide by 2026.”

So we encourage many to jump in.

“If I can do it, so can you.”

And they take us up on it.

And do the things we collectively suggest:

1. Do Trailheads

2. Get Certified

3. Network, Network, Network

4. Showcase Your Work

5. Apply, Apply, Apply

Then, 3, 6, 9, 12+ months down the road, they’re not getting the opportunities that we thought they would have.

Thinking to ourselves: “what more can I do, say, or provide to them to stick with it”

or

“Did I communicate unreasonable expectations?”

Maybe even holding ourselves accountable for making the suggestion to begin with.

Is there enough reality being set regarding the numbers, the time it takes, and the disappointment that might be at play?
