I think some priorities have shifted some around a persons work/education history when it comes to hiring Salesforce professionals compared to where the industry was 10+ years ago.
Moving from contractor to full time
Moving from consultant to industry
Moving from industry to consultant
Having short hops in your career
No college, some college, or many degrees
Prior industry knowledge
Some time in between positions
Some certs (maybe no certs) to being XX times certified
This doesn’t go for all employers, but with the sizable number of open positions, I think these are easier to look past for many.
