Should this be called out specifically as volunteer experience?

If so, could it reduce your chances of being hired as it might not be seen as “real” experience?

Especially, if you’re just starting your career and need to show some hands-on work.

But, is it being deceptive if it’s not labeled that way?

I thought it was a good, question asked of me this week.

My answer/opinion: Yes, to specifically call it out, as you would want to remove any doubts or false pretense up front.
