Staying Disconnected

When you’re away from work (on vacation), are you able to successfully stay disconnected?

Could you do a better job at this?

Do you want to do a better job at this?

Do you have to wake up early or stay up late to keep a pulse on things while you’re out of the office?

Do you ensure having a good internet/cell phone connection is a priority wherever you go?

Do you feel that if you don’t keep up, your workload will be twice as much when you get back?

Does losing control of the day to day cause worry or concern?

Do you hear from others “you work too much” or “can’t you leave it until you get back?”

Do you find others that you’re with are waiting on you to “do one last thing”?

There’s plenty of information on why being “off” is good to recharge.

Some can do this without hesitation.

I think many others struggle with this, and finding some balance, may be the best we can do.
