Also keep in mind, level of connection, as I think this helps in the search algorithm.

How far removed or connected are you from anyone else in that company?

My understanding, the more connections you have to the searcher, the better your chances of your profile coming up sooner in the search results.

Suggestion 1: start building those connections now, for the future.

Suggestion 2: make the connection request real and genuine, for a better acceptance rate.
