In watching an interview with Sting (hopefully everyone knows who Sting is) about how he writes songs, he used the analogy of going to the river to fish.
Somedays, he’ll “catch” a lyric, a verse or an entire song, other days he doesn’t catch anything.
But he states, he knows he needs to go to the river, or he’ll never catch what he needs to compose his next great hit.
For you, somedays, you won’t hear a thing from a resume submission, a reach-out, or a 1st round interview.
But, going to the river is the only way to catch your 1st break.
