“Can you find out?”

When working with recruiters, they may not be able to answer all the questions you have regarding the position and/or company.

If they don’t know, and it’s a critical question that you want answered.

There’s nothing wrong with asking: “can you find out?”

And then pausing the process until they get that answered for you.

Hopefully, they have a good enough relationship with the internal decisions makers to get those answered quickly.

This may also help pre-determine how smooth or bumpy the end to end hiring process might be working with that recruiter.

Please don’t be intimidated to ask: “can you find out?” and then maybe even asking, “how long before you think you can get an answer?”.

Having as much transparency up front is key, IMO.
