How often do we find out a good friend, past colleague, or someone we really enjoyed working with in the past is now looking for a new position and unfortunately, we can’t hire them to work with us?

We know they have the ability to do great things and it would really be a great opportunity to have them be a part of your team/organization.

I think it happens quite often, and I guess the best we can do is refer them to our network and be a reliable reference when called upon.

Who knows, the favor may be needed in return in the future…
